October 19, 2012

This week in Art we made clay dinosaurs.

We ran "Blisters for Books" and ran LOTS of laps!  We raised money for children's books in the library.  We could run, jog, or walk.

We did an experiment with rocks and leaves in science.  It told us that meat-eaters had sharp teeth to chew their food.

We had Game Day in math.  We had a school store and bought things with money.  We could keep the toys we bought.

We measured dinosaurs.  We used a tape measure and drew a line.  Then we lied down on the ground, head to toe, and counted how many first graders equaled an Apatosaurus and Stegasaurus.   We also learned that generally meat-eaters walked on two feet and plant eaters walked on four feet.

We had a nice week!
