This week we painted our clay medallions in Art.  Then we could make necklaces with the medallions and beads. The medallions represented stories.

We did math and reading games in computer class.

We did centers in Music.

In Guidance we made a "helping hand".  The "helping hand" is a hand with names of people we could go to for help.

We had student-led conferences.  We presented work to our parents and showed how much we grew in first grade.  We were proud to share with our parents.

We played BINGO in Spanish and won prizes.  Someone won a Sesame Street Coloring Book!  Someone else won a little blue ball.

We had a fabulous week!

This week we made clay sculptures in Art class.  After we made those sculptures, some of us had time to make more.

This afternoon we have something special, but Mrs. Wilcox is keeping it a secret….

We made ice cream in science.  We tried to turn a liquid into a solid.

We practiced for our conferences.

We started geometry in math.  What did the baby acorn say to his mom when he grew up?
Ge-o-metry!  (Gee, I'm a tree!)

We had a fabulous week!
