This week we took our clay fish home. We also drew a picture on our own, then traced it on to styrofoam. Next week we will turn them in to prints.
In Guidance we read a baseball book about sportsmanship.
Yesterday we started a new story in Spanish.
We started a new read aloud book called Owls in the Family.
We had our fiction stories typed and then drew pictures. This afternoon we will share them.
In computer class half of us did a reading program, while the other half did math games. Then we switched activities.
Today is our May Day Celebration. We will sing on the Common.

This week we made swirly flowers in Art. Mrs. G put the clay fish from last week in the kiln.
In Music we watched the musical Shrek while Ms. Bushway was away.
We worked on writing. We wrote our fictional stories. We made lists of describing words called adjectives.
We had a volunteer come in from Junior Achievement. Dan taught us about families and how we can help out. Then we talked about needs and wants.
While Dan was here the first day, we had a fire drill. We were not expecting it!
We had a fabulous week!

This week we began making clay fish in Art.
We had computer on Tuesday afternoon because the older kids were testing and we didn't have our regular Monday morning time.
We changed seats.
We started studying maps.
We started to illustrate our new story in Spanish.
We are working on fractions in math. We made fraction creatures.
The seventh grade had a school store this week.
Tonight the sixth grade will have a "Game Night". We are excited!
We had a fabulous week!

This week we added pictures of lily pads and frogs to our paintings in Art. We are studying Claude Monet.
We started learning about maps in Social Studies.
We did not have computer because the big kids were testing.

We are reading Charlotte's Web for read aloud. Charlotte wrote "Some Pig" in her web to save Wilbur.
Mrs. Wilcox did not change our seats last night because she had a long meeting. She will surprise us Monday with new seat arrangements.
