This week we learned a new game on the iPads called Spanish Smash.

We got a day assigned to use the iPad.

We are learning about dinosaurs.  We learned people brought the bones (fossils) to the Montshire to look at.  We also learned about Pangea.  Pangea is what the world looked like a long time ago!

We started reading groups this week.  When we were not in reading groups, we did our journal and worked on spelling with Mrs. Geoghegan.

First grade is awesome!

We had a bus drill.  We got to jump out the back of the bus.

This week we finished reading My Father's Dragon.  The chapter on the lion was a good part.  Some people liked when the boy gave the crocodiles lollipops.  The boy gave the monkeys magnifying glasses to find the fleas on the gorilla.  At the end,  the crocodiles carried the animals down the river.  Some liked the part when the boars tried to find the invasion.  We liked when he rescued the dragon.  We liked that book.

In math we did counting.  It was fun to count out loud.

We had centers this week. We like using iPads.  We liked listening to Skippy John Jones.

First grade is awesome!
